A Walk Around the Neighborhood
Rog and I are determined to get back in shape after the long couch-potato winter. The warmer, springlike days have been inviting for walking the big loop - about 3 miles. First, a few glimpses of the restored prairie to our south.
Then, a few shots of a few of the picturesque neighborhood farms - and sweet young heifers from the dairy farm across the road.

I LOVE the horizontal layers in your photos! Thanks for sharing your walk with us; I think the countryside is beautiful this time of year, laid bare, as it is.
Picture postcard country! Beautiful!
Is the red in the pictures Dogwood?
Any little farms for sale near you! :) Just kidding... I know I couldn't handle that much cold. But gosh, what a beautiful area you live in!!
looks like a national geographic issue from 1972. did you do alter the color at all?
Thanks, it IS pretty around here. Makes my heart sing. The field of red is dogwood - a bit of dramatic color in the monochromatic winter.
Cadence, I didn't alter the colors; I was a bit surprised they photographed as vividly as they did.
