Beautiful breast colouring...what are they?

Hi GZ, The birds are American Robins - must be young ones because of the mottled breasts and they are pretty small. Robins are usually the first migratory birds we see in the spring - always welcome. I expected they would have all flown south by now, but fall has been unusually warm this year. They have been making the "zeeup" call - their migratory chirp; you can hear it at this website; http://www.learner.org/jnorth/tm/robin/NameThatTune.html

I haven't seen a Robin now for awhile. Yes very windy. I won't go out without rocks in my pocket!

Love the first shot especially.

We're still waiting down here for our big influx of winter residents. Now I understand--they're all at your place.
