Farmers Market Morning in July

Saturday was the perfect Farmers Market Day--sunny, warm, not too humid. We sold our signature wood-fired sourdough breads (white, whole wheat and rye),  berry tarts, various cookies and cupcakes, squashblossoms, beets and Rog's new multigrain sourdough bread.
The large tart was snapped up within moments of placing it in the display case. Someday I hope one of these will be left over and we will be forced to take it home and devour it ourselves.
It is such an abundant time of year. Piles of cucumbers.
Stacks of beets.
Baskets of greens.
Dan, the young farmer who vends next to us, with some of his heritage varieties of new potatoes.
The booth across the aisle from us was   full of exuberantly colored  zinnias and veggies.

We packed up at noon when the market ended, drove home and unpacked the car, and took a delicious nap in the hammock.
