Life's a Bench
At the Farmer's Market this weekend the first thing I had to check out was the bench--the bench I painted as part of the city's Life's a Bench community art initiative had just been installed in its permanent location at the entrance to the market. I was happy to find two guys sitting on it already! Here is my friend Katherine testing it out.
There are 13 artist benches scattered throughout downtown Rochester with a diverse array of artistic styles and subjects. I was honored to be invited to paint the bench for the Farmers Market --a place so near and dear to me as a farmer and a vendor.
Here is a closeup of the bench when it was just completed, paint still wet.
